History

David Brantley founded No Fault Industries, Inc. in 1974 as a sport surfacing company focusing mainly on tennis court and running track construction. No Fault quickly extended its reach from a regional customer base to nationwide sales and service.

Ten years later, Mr. Brantley developed and marketed the country’s first poured-in-place safety surfacing, which utilizes recycled rubber and a European polymer.

The primary purpose of this poured rubber surface was to protect children in and around playground equipment. It was initially marketed to McDonald’s Corporation and is currently installed in well over 12,000 projects worldwide.

News of this innovative safety surfacing spread fast, especially in the theme park industry.Soon our national client list grew to include some of the country’s most prominent enterprises such as Walt Disney World (over 100 projects), Universal Studios (over 50 projects), Busch-Gardens (over 50 projects), Paramount Studios, Warner Brothers, Sea World and Six Flags (over 100 projects combined).

No Fault and its poured-in-place safety surfacing eventually grew to dominate the playground industry, and is now known as the premier safety surface product. Our client list soon expanded further to include accounts such as corporate hospitals (Bright Horizons, Kinder Care, LaPetite) and military/government (Eglin AFB, Hulbert AFB, Langley AFB, Andrews AFB, Quantico MCAS), in addition to numerous hotels, resorts and private facilities.

By 1991, Mr. Brantley developed a nationwide sales representation network to promote and sell our rubberized, seamless safety surface. The success of these efforts revolutionized the playground surface industry. In addition to the national sales agents, we developed sales and installation dealerships in Singapore and Brazil – and our company has now installed this playground safety surface in six foreign countries. No Fault’s safety surface accomplishments in the playground market have directly influenced the developments of the American Standard for Testing Methods (ASTM) and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) guidelines.

To date, No Fault has installed well over 15 million square feet of poured-in-place surface worldwide.

We continue to provide all of our customers with installation handled by the most experienced and knowledgeable crews in the industry. This is the primary reason we are considered the standard-bearer of the playground surface industry.

In 2001, Mr. Brantley made the decision to offer other athletic surface products to once again meet the increasingly diverse demands of the marketplace. These new product lines have served to not only complement but complete No Fault’s presence in the sport flooring and safety surfacing world.

No Fault Sport Group, LLC has also introduced other products to the market, including: No Fault Safety Tile, No Fault Sport Floor, No Fault Rubber Mulch and No Fault SporTurf. These are all pre-fabricated products that are used as viable alternatives to our poured-in-place safety surfacing. We are "private label” distributors for all of these products.

The unmatched success of our innovative products has made No Fault the most extraordinary brand on the market. In fact, No Fault is now the most recognized and respected name in the recreational surface industry.
