No Fault Hits Another Home Run at New LSU Baseball Stadium
February 20th, 2009 - Spring is the time for renewal and new beginnings. Spring is also a time when we annually begin to hear the familiar sounds of baseball players starting practice for a new season. For Louisiana State University those two common themes go hand in hand.
LSU has completed a world class baseball facility. A brand new Alex Box Stadium is just a few hundred yards from the original tradition-rich facility. LSU has completed this new forty million dollar facility to be the preeminent collegiate baseball park in the country and No Fault is seen all over the park.
No Fault prides itself on the versatility of multiple surface applications available. Their surfaces are not only ideal for playground cushion protection, but also for limitless sports surface applications. In addition to the new baseball park, No Fault has provided surfacing at LSU’s new Softball Complex, Tiger Stadium and The Natatorium Swimming and Diving Complex.
No Fault worked with a Baton Rouge-based General Contractor, Buquet and LeBlanc, Inc. to provide the various surfaces at Alex Box Stadium. No Fault Sport Surface was installed directly in front of and between the dugouts for the infield warning track. Three custom colors of rubber were mixed on site to create the look of cinder. No Fault Safety Surface was installed on the two playground areas located behind right and left fields. In addition, No Fault installed their new premier No Fault SporTurf for the indoor batting cages.
During a recent inspection of the new field, the head coach was so impressed by the No Fault surface that he suggested, “It was the coolest element of the best baseball facility in the country.”
Jake Mayo, Project Manager with Buquet and LeBlanc, Inc. was so pleased in his dealings with No Fault, he claimed:
“Your products really helps bring the whole thing together. It has been very easy working with your sales staff and project managers while coordinating the install. They know the product and process completely which always helps a general contractor. The surfacing is flawless and the custom color turned out perfect. Coach Mainieri and the whole staff love it and say they wish they had put it all the way around the field!”
In addition to our proud affiliation with collegiate athletics, No Fault has recently partnered with Major League Baseball to provide an eco-friendly and safe playground for children in the Bronx, NY. This playground was opened in July 2008, during the All Star Game festivities held in New York City. No Fault also partnered with the LeBron James Family Foundation to provide two new playgrounds in disadvantaged neighborhoods, as part of their Playground Build Initiative. The first playground debuted in New Orleans, LA in February 2008 and the second opened in Phoenix, AZ in late February 2009.
No Fault is extremely proud of playing a part in helping LSU Athletics officials, the baseball coaching staff, players, and supporters realize what they had envisioned all along for the top program in America!
