No Fault Provides Playground Surfacing for New Handicap Accessible Fun Park in San Antonio, TX
Morgan's Wonderland opens in San Antonio!
April 21st, 2010 - No Fault teamed with Recreation Consultants of Texas to provide our poured-in-place playground surfacing (which is handicap accessible) for the World’s First Special Needs Theme Park designed for mentally and physically handicapped children. The park is called “Morgan’s Wonderland”. It is located in San Antonio, TX, and the grand opening took place on April 10, 2010.
This unique project was developed by Gordon Hartman, former real estate developer. The estimated cost of developing this new 25 acre park is $30 million. Mr. Hartman built Morgan’s Wonderland as a tribute to his beloved daughter, Morgan, who has a cognitive delay condition.
No Fault provided surfacing for two themed areas called the “Butterfly Playground” and the “ Pirate Island Playground” as well as two “swing areas”. The park has designed its various attractions to be handicap accessible. There are actually “wheel chair swings” and other special equipment on the playgrounds.
Now, children with mental and physical disabilities are able to enjoy a wonderful theme park which caters to their special needs. Our No Fault team is proud to be involved in such a worthwhile project!
