No Fault started off as a sport surfacing company, in 1974, initially focused on tennis courts and competitive tracks. Synthetic athletic surfacing provided the basis for No Fault’s development of the first poured-in-place safety surface designed specifically for playgrounds in the United States.
The original poured safety surface was created to fulfill the demand by quick service restaurants and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) “impact” guidelines. This established No Fault’s unique reputation in the playground market as the original creator of the poured-in-place (PIP) playground surfacing.
The sales representative network was developed to expand the coverage of No Fault’s products, helping customers with their surfacing projects nationwide.
No Fault began to offer new athletic surface products to meet the increasingly diverse demands of the market. These products, along with the poured-in-place safety surfacing, allowed No Fault to fulfill a variety of surfacing needs for projects across the sport and recreation industry.
In 2019, No Fault was acquired by PlayPower, Inc.—the world’s largest, fully integrated manufacturer of commercial playground equipment, shade structures, and floating dock systems and lifts for boats and personal water craft.
In 2022, No Fault moved to a new location in Baton Rouge, LA—combining the office space and warehouse in one location. A new logo and brand standard was introduced.
In 2023 a new website launched featuring a poured-in-place color mixer—allowing visitors to create custom color blends.
In 2024, No Fault became an an official representative of Corkeen®—a natural playground safety surface composed of cork. Also in 2024, six neon colors—that fluoresce under UV light—were added to No Fault’s poured-in-place color offering.
In 2024, No Fault celebrates our 50th anniversary! In the 5 decades we’ve been in business, we have installed over 16 million square feet of poured-in-place surface worldwide and have completed over 8000 projects—from ball fields and running tracks to theme parks and playgrounds.
