Rubber Mulch Surfacing Installations
At No Fault Surfaces, we provide playground surfacing installations for outdoor play areas nationwide. Our team arrives with all the materials needed for preparation and installation to make the process run as smoothly as possible. We also wear safety gear, such as gloves and knee pads, to protect ourselves while installing the surfacing.
Loose Mulch Installations
To install your loose mulch, we follow preparation methods to clear and level the play area. We lay a durable landscape barrier down to keep the mulch separate from the underlying soil.
After creating borders to contain the mulch in a desired location, our team pours the material and spreads it manually using a rake or shovel. We create a specific, consistent depth to meet fall height safety standards. A final rake provides a smooth, finished surface.
Routine maintenance is required to rake the mulch back into place, especially in high-traffic areas. Follow our product specifications for cleaning recommendations to avoid dust buildup.
Bonded Mulch Installations
To install bonded mulch, our professionals use a poured-in-place surfacing method. Once we arrive at your location, we’ll set up a sub-base that’s right for your play area. Depending on the sub-base you choose, we may need to wait for the curing time before proceeding to the next phase.
We mix and install an impact layer, which provides the most cushioning and requires a minimum of 24 hours to cure. Our highly skilled team blends recycled rubber with a polyurethane binder on-site, then hand-trowels the mixture into place. Once the final layer is finished, the materials will need to cure and dry for up to 72 hours.
Follow our recommended guidelines to maintain the surface’s ideal appearance over time. We provide detailed instructions for general cleaning, removing loose debris and isolating stains.
